John C. Buck, RPh

John C. Buck is a 1958 graduate of West Virginia University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. Upon graduation, John went to work at Blands Drug Store in Clarksburg until 1959. He served in the United States Army and was stationed at the US Army Hospital in Fort McPherson, Georgia from 1959-1962. John returned to Spencer to work at Hughes Drug in February 1962. He owned and operated Hughes Drug until May 1993 at which time he sold the store and began
working at Staats Pharmacy.

John has been active in numerous professional and community activities including the West Virginia Pharmacists Association, First Baptist Church, Gideons International, former Roane County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors member, and Past President of the Spencer Jaycees.

John is married to Sheila J. (Lynch) Buck. They have two sons, Randy A. Buck, who resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, and works as a medical sales representative, and Charles Thomas Buck, who resides in Morgantown, West Virginia, and works as an accountant for Greer Industries. John and Sheila have five grandchildren–two boys, Grayson and Griffin, and three girls, Mackenzie, Delaney and Audrey.
