West Virginia Pharmacists association "Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award" June 2000
This award, which is sponsored each year by Dupont Pharma, is presented to a West Virginia pharmacist "for demonstrating innovative pharmacy practice by utilizing their therapeutic knowledge and professional skills to promote and assure the health and wellness of the public."
West Virginia Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists "Roche Education Award" April 2001
This award is sponsored annually by Roche Pharmaceuticals and presented to a West Virginia pharmacist for their commitment to health care education and excellence in teaching. This was the first time that a community pharmacist was presented this award by the West Virginia Society of Health-Systems Pharmacist.
Preceptor of the Year - 2002
This award is in recognition of outstanding contributions to the development of future pharmacists by demonstrating high standards of professionalism, ethnics, and clinical practice.
Women in Pharmacy - November 2006
This honor was presented for her outstanding accomplishments in the Pharmacy Profession.
Educational Grant Awards
West Virginia Rural Health Education Partnerships Grant- Fall 2000
Grant funds were used to purchase diabetes patient education materials as well as a food guide pyramid display with food models.
West Virginia Diabetes Control Program - January 2001
Grant funds were used to conduct a 6 month long diabetes education and monitoring project for a group of uninsured persons with diabetes. Participants were provided with diabetes self-management education and blood glucose monitoring supplies for home use. A DCA 2000 analyzer and reagents were purchased for performing A1c tests on each participant.

Foundation Scholarship to attend the AADE 2001 Annual Meeting - August 2001
Bristol-Myers-Squibb- Spring 2001
Grant funds were used to implement a community cholesterol education program.
